The room was basic but comfy, and I found someone else's old pants in the drawer.

missingWrote a review on Nov 23amazing foodfriendly servicegreat locationdated roomblocked drain
Food was a highlight, especially the hunters chicken and perfectly cooked burgers. Staff at the restaurant made me feel welcome. The location offered easy access to Thorne North railway station and had plenty of onsite parking. The room, however, needed modernizing. it felt dated and had a blocked drain in the bathroom. I couldn't get cold water from the cold tap one evening, which was frustrating. The bed was comfortable but overall, the vibe seemed a mix of cheap and gradually improving. Breakfast options were limited, and I was left waiting for service. Some areas had a pleasant ambiance, but noise from neighboring rooms made it hard to relax at times.

The noise from neighboring rooms was a bit bothersome at times.

The miso soup was a culinary delight, and I stumbled upon great local eateries like Morani's Gelato and The Spice Hut that were absolutely cracking! The staff was super accommodating, and there was ample car parking to make life easier.
Although my room was basic and in dire need of a revamp, with a bathroom window locked tighter than a drum and zero air conditioning on a blistering hot day, the comfy vibe and proximity to the railway made overall stay shine true.

The food was the highlight, with dishes like the hunter's chicken and perfectly cooked burgers making a strong impression. The atmosphere had some charm despite the other issues, making it a decent spot to grab a bite.
Upon entry, the cleanliness was concerning—curtains were askew, and I noticed a badly stained chair. The room felt stuck in a time warp from the 70s. the bed's springs were practically begging for retirement. The bathroom was a letdown, with a blocked drain and limited towels provided. I also couldn't get away from the noise—thin walls meant I could hear every word from the adjacent rooms all night. after a rough night, I arrived at breakfast to a deserted area with minimal options, which didn't help my mood.

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making our stay
A pleasant one. The location was also convenient, just a five-minute walk from the train station. our room felt a bit dated and the breakfast hours were quite limited, which was unfortunate for those wishing to sleep in.

I was greeted with a warm welcome and enjoyed some cozy evenings in the lovely dining area, which was perfect after a long day of exploring. The place has a relaxed vibe with spaces to unwind. A great little bar to chill out. The only bummer was that the Wi-Fi wasn’t super reliable, but it didn’t spoil my enjoyment at all. 😊

solid stay with room for improvement
The location was excellent, just a short walk from the railway station, making it easy to explore the area. I found the on-site parking to be very convenient and hassle-free. The food exceeded my expectations—it was delicious, with a standout miso soup that I truly enjoyed! I also appreciated the warm welcome from the staff, who made me feel at home right away.
The room decor felt a bit outdated.
